Kenneth S. Schwartz, MD, FAAO, attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD, and received his medical degree in 1998. Then, he served his internship at Georgetown University Hospital. Furthermore, he conducted his ophthalmology residency at Washington Hospital Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Schwartz is the recipient of the Joseph Dessoff Award in Ophthalmology from Washington Hospital Center and the Resident’s Day Research Award. In addition, he completed his fellowship training in glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Dr. Schwartz received board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology. A member of the American Medical Association, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Listed as one of the Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors, the National Guide of America’s Top Ophthalmologists, and the Washington DC-Baltimore-Northern Virginia Doctors Guide.
